Just out of a long and nasty depression and victorious after a hard-fought war, the country was feeling euphoric, optimistic and in the mood for song and dance like never before. Touring since 1994, In the Mood captures that spirit and celebrates the swing era of American music that sustained the nation during the tough times and provided the perfect up-tempo, big-band sound to kick up its heels in the good times. The show is more than just a concert. The singers and dancers along with the String of Pearls Big Band Orchestra present a high-energy revue of the musical mood of the 1940s. [DVD]
