Thursday and Saturday evening rolls out the Nightwalk Monterey Tour ($15, 656-3346) which includes the Casa del Oro, Custom House, Whaling Station, First Theatre and First Brick House. Sunday's free finale, from 2-3pm, features actors' recreation of the 1849 California Constitutional Convention at Colton Hall with refreshments provided on the lawn afterwards. There's plenty of other history in between highlighted by a van tour to historic explorer landing sites (10:30am and noon Saturday, 646-3456) and a reenactment of the Mexican-American War at the Custom House lawn with the 1st New York Legion Reenactors (10am-4pm Saturday, 10am-2pm Sunday, 649-7118), a Civil War Encampment at Lower Presidio Park all four days, with firing demos 11am-2pm (646-3456) and tours of Larkin and Stevenson House (10-11:30am Friday) and Cooper-Molera Adobe (Saturday, every hour from 10:30am-2:30pm).
