Keigan Skydecker's Acoustic/Electric Series is a simple but inspired concept for an intimate concert. First, a seated audience of 50 take in an acoustic performance in East Village's main room. After an intermission, the crowd moves to the lounge's backroom hallway for a more rocking electric show by the same musician. The series kicks off with a guitarist adept at both acoustic and electric styles: Pacific Grove native Matt Baldwin. He'll perform songs from his acoustic John Fahey-inspired release 2006 Berkleley Guitar, along with compositions from 2008's Paths of Ignition in the first set. The second set will feature him debuting numbers from his upcoming double album Night in the Triangle and, in his words, "blasting off into far-out electric territory." [ST]
