In an snow-bound Lake Tahoe cabin, two strangers meet and must come to terms with the cards they’ve been dealt in illness, grief and healing. Cindy Gum wrote this touching play set in this scene for the Compassionate Care Alliance, a local nonprofit that aims to raise awareness surrounding end-of-life issues, which will be discussed in an open forum after the play. It opens Oct. 8 with a Gala Celebration featuring Silver Oak wine and delicious desserts after the production. This compassionate and thoughtful play runs through Oct. 30. [MF]
