In Larry Shue's dizzy farce, an extremely shy and awkward Englishman by the name of Charlie Baker joins his buddy, Sgt. Froggy LeSueur, at a backwoods fishing lodge in Georgia, but pretends to speak no English in order to avoid interacting with the other lodge guests. Doesn't work. Just the opposite occurs, each character revealing themselves to the enigma who speaks a gibberish from a made up country. Andy Kaufman would approve. Charlie is ingratiated deeper into the lives of a seemingly dumb student, a beautiful ESL student and a white supremacist, revealing the hidden identities behind the public personaes. Jeffrey Hery and Pat Horsley lead a cast directed by William J. Wolak. It runs to Nov. 14. [WR]
