Not that the other days won't be kid-friendly, but this opening day of the 74th Monterey County Fair is called Kids Day. First off, it's free until 3pm with a book donation, then it unleashes a KWAV Star Search talent showcase, kid karaoke, a hypnotist show, Luke Bryan, MY Museum, jugglers and clowns. Later, for adults burned out on kid-fare, Whiskey Dawn plays the Turf Club. [WR]
