Closing out the summer-long music and wine series is the smooth, supple jazz of Dennis Murphy his band. Their "Samba Monterey" is a pastiche of Brazilian samba played at refined bossa nova pitch, synth keyboards, cool jazz guitar and plucky bass. They get paired with da Giovanni Winery, with the requisite cheese and appetizers, to turn a shopping experience into a fine idyll daydream.
