This indie rock/pop band is headed by singer, guitarist and songwriter Michael Gross, whose 2008 solo album "Tales From A Country Home" led to the formation of The Statuettes band. Currently accompanying Gross are guitarist Jimmy Kelly, bassist Ben Johnson and drummer Andy Patterson. Their West Coast tour kicked off April 1, and is sure to include tracks off their latest EP, "Imaginary Signs," which is now available on iTunes. Following two independently released EP's in 2009 and 2010, the group's debut full-length album "Telepath" was released last summer by Sonata Cantata Records. The group, reportedly a huge hit in Turkey, was nominated in January for the Salt Lake City Weekly's Band of the Year. [JCL]
