The Carmel Art Association is hosting two distinctive exhibitions featuring the work of local artists. Jon Wagstaff presents "Listen", new works on canvas and paper, exploring the observations of sight and sound and the changing elements of the natural world. The second exhibition, "Just the Two of Us", showcases the art of two-person show Diane Wolcott and Joe Tanous. Walcott depicts her exuberant, detailed idealism and childhood themes in oil, while Tanous uses oil on canvas to explore colorful abstract forms. The abstract angle also runs through the works of Wilda Northrop and Heidi Hybl, depicting foliage and plant forms, and Barbara Johnson, showcasing mixed media prints on paper. The exhibition begins April 7th and runs until May 3rd. [KD]
