New Yorker Magazine calls it the "funniest show in New York." It's Gerard Alessandrini's Broadway musical spoof of Broadway musicals, the long-running Forbidden Broadway, which pokes fun at the lore and idiosyncrasies of more than 50 personalities, including Carol Channing, Harvey Fierstein, Liza, Bebe Neuwirth and John Travolta, from 18 Broadway musicals, including A Chorus Line, Chicago, Annie, Fiddler on the Roof and Les Miserable. The culprits of this funny stuff, director Stephen Moorer, guest choreographer Katie O'Bryon, and actors Reg Huston, Gracie Moore Poletti, D. Scott McQuiston and Lydia Lyons. It runs to May 1. [WR]
