Author Rebecca Costa at National Steinbeck Center

As part of their April Meet-the-Author Series, the National Steinbeck Center will host an evening with local author Rebecca Costa. Her book is titled The Watchman's Rattle: Thinking our Way Out of Extinction, and connects the dots between crime, oil prices, Wall Street, global warming, nuclear waste and childhood violence. She reveals the four telltale patterns which paralyze innovative thinking. Costa is a sociobiologist whose expertise is to spot and explain emerging trends in relationship to human evolution, global markets, and new technologies. She is the former CEO of Silicon Valley start-up Dazai Advertising, Inc.
