Things heat up Saturday night with Chicago Fire, fronted by John "Broadway" Tucker, on the scene. Plaza Linda hosts this local legend of the jazz and blues scene, who is soon to be kicking of a European tour. Tucker is so old-school, there's a story of him playing a late night jam session with Jimi Hendrix in a Monterey club after Hendrix finished his set at the 1967 Monterey Pops Festival. Reservations to get in for dinner, and stay for the show, are recommended, along with a sensible $10 donation for the musicians. This will be two solid hours of soulful singing and bluesy rhythms that would be a shame to miss. [GS]
