2011 California Ocean and Coastal Amateur Photography Contest

The Thank You Ocean Campaign and the California Coastal Commission jointly host this 13th annual competition, open to anyone who earns less than 50 percent of their income from photography. Entries should depict scenes of the California coast, people with the coast, or ocean and coastal wildlife. Interested participants can submit their photos online at http://mycoastalphoto.com through Sept. 2.

Watch out !
I was ready to send them some of my favorite coast photos until I read one tiny thing in the "Terms and Conditions." ...
Well, some lawyer snuck in --
"and to grant to any third party a comparable and coextensive sublicense." . . . This means they can sell your photographs to anyone for Unlimited Commercial use - forever and you won't get anything (not even photo credit) - unless you are one of the three winners. . . . So instead I won't send in my best photos - if I decide to enter, I'll only send in some photos that I don't care about losing to commercial use. ... What a sad turn of events. ...
