The recently reinvigorated museum steps up in the spotlight of Car Week with a program that digs deep into its subject matter but doesn't forget to have fun while at it. Every day, through Care Week, they'll have goodies from the Back to the Future film series, including the DeLorean gull-wing car from Back to the Future III, and actors and props from the films; live presentations by notable authors and celebs on a "recently discovered" films about road racers like Phil Hill; Joe Maddalena, host of SyFy Channel's Hollywood Treasure, a sneak preview of The Pebble Beach Experience documentary, covering 100-plus years of motoring; Antiques Road Show appraisers. Proceeds benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's and the Museum of Monterey. For Car Week, Aug. 14-21, the hours get extended to 10am-8pm. See website for details.
