Not that many people hear of a sextet. That's because it takes a lot of harmony and talent to synchronize the melodic voices of six people. But this is what Overtone does so well, and not just in English. Singing popular tunes as well as tributes to native tribes in their native languages, Overtone brings a rich wave of freshness and cultural flavor to the musical stage. Their performance follows a calm afternoon jazz jam with singer Lee Durley, drummer David Morwood, and multi-instrumentalist Gary Meek. [NH]
