Three solid days of music, poetry, art and handicrafts celebrating the cowboy way of life attract people from all over the United States to share their interest in cowboy history, culture and lifestyle. Performances are featured by outstanding musicians of the genre, including Western Music Association Award winners Juni Fisher for Entertainer of the Year, Outstanding Female Performer and Best Original Song, Waddie Mitchell, Outstanding Performer in the poetry/storytelling/spoken word category and Dave Stamey, Outstanding Male Performer. Friday and Saturday night jam sessions and an open mic event for young people allow other performers to show their stuff while over two dozen artisans display and sell their hats, jewelry, boots, belts, purses, jackets and much more. A Christmas art and gear show, silent auction and Sunday morning cowboy church service round out the event. A share of the net proceeds benefits the Salvation Army. [DVD]
