Light in the Season of Light at Forest Theatre

Shorter days need not be cause for a shortage of light, if Pablo Neruda, Laura Ingalls Wilder and Russian folktales have anything to say on the matter. As part of PacRep Theatre's Words on Stage series, three readers will bring texts both ancient and contemporary to life, exploring ideas of darkness and light. They'll read from favorites like Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, Wilder's account of winter in the midwest from "Mr. Edwards Meets Santa Claus," poetry by Neruda and a classic Russian story on a goddess who embodies both light and dark aspects of the feminine.
