She's one of the quickest comics in the West. No, make that the planet. Her routine is to not have a routine and just wing it, using the audience and current events as material to riff on. She just needs a headline from a newspaper or an occupation from an innocent bystander and off she goes. Paula Poundstone, frequent guest on NPR's topical trivia show Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, stand-up comedian, library spokesperson, author and faux political commentator in the vein of Jon Stewart (though she says she's never seen the show) returns to the Sunset Center for a one-woman show that wrings laughs out of every second.
