Monterey Bay Symphony Holiday Concert at Golden State Theatre

The 13-member brass ensemble with two drummers plays a free holiday concert to honor the season and raise spirits, conducted by Music Director Dr. Carl Christiansen. The first half of the event features carols by Leroy Anderson, the Christmas Jazz Suite by Bill Holcombe, and Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus”. Dance Kids of Monterey County will perform a special holiday version of Yankee Doddle Dandy. The second half offers a sing-along of popular Holiday songs with the lyrics projected above the stage. The swinging set will feature ten of the most-performed Holiday melodies including “White Christmas”, “Winter Wonderland”, “Silver Bells”, “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”, and “Frosty the Snowman.” Along with the live music, the NPS presents a colorguard and NPS host Alan Richmond is the event's MC.
