After seven years of renovations and three quarters of a billion dollars, the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow recently reopened and this holiday season is featuring a live performance of The Nutcracker. Clara's dream from the original novelette by E.T.A. Hoffmann seems right at home performed at the gorgeously restored theatre to the choreography of Yuri Grigorovich and score by Tchaikovsky. The Bolshoi Corps de Ballet is featured with Nina Kaptsova as Clara/Masha, and Artem Ovcharenko as the prince.
