The Salinas acoustic duo Souvenir strum into Monterey this Saturday for their London Bridge debut with the promise of turning back the clock: Inspired in their youth by the music of the 50's and 60's, Dan Gutierrez and Jeff Richman have made it their own, and play tunes that range from the Beatles to the Everly Brothers to Roy Orbison, evoking memories of the days when hits were made on the radio and things called records. Whether one prefers Boddington's, Bass, or Bud Light, Simon and Garfunkel or Gutierrez' own originals, there will be much to enjoy from this local pair that have been friends for 24 years. [DS]
