You don’t see too many coaches like Wallace Bryant, who stands over 7 feet and still hoops with his players in practice—“The next few hours I’m as sore as can be,” he says, “I’m the ibuprofen man”—but you don’t see many teams like the ABA’s Sea Kings. Led by versatile speedsters 6’6” Antonio Sherrod, 6’3” Louis Benson and 6’5” Mike Smeed they fly up and down the court at such speeds that they posted 140 in a single game earlier this season. They’re 7-5 as they prepare to kennel the Pit Bulls tonight and ice the Sacramento Heat Wave come Sunday. As their game remains undiscovered, crowds are light, so you’re guaranteed a good seat. [MCA]
