The Goldenhearts’ twangy psychedelic throwback to the rock and roll of yesteryear is anything but unoriginal. That’s probably because the San Francisco quartet pulls nuggets of inspiration from the songs and musicians of every era. They even give a shout out to Austin folk hero Daniel Johnston on “Song For Daniel Johnston;” it’s like a feedback-ridden take on the songs of The Beatles Revolver. The foursome also channels creativity from stuff like self-proclaimed biker bars, stripper poles and cigarette vending machines. [AJ]
