Betty Crocker beware, The friends of the Monterey County Public Library hold their annual Best Chocolate Contest in conjunction with their annual Chocolate and Wine Tasting benefit. This years prizes will be award to three categories: Best Chocolate Chip Cookie, Best Brownie and Most Original Chocolate Cookie. Participants must bring two dozen of their baked entry on a disposable plate and a copy of the recipe to the Monterey Public Library's help desk by February 17 between 10am-4pm. Participants must not put their name on the plate nor the recipe, but will sign-in an receive a number identifying their entry. Winners will be announced at the Chocolate and Wine Tasting event on February 18, 2011. Bakers can enter as many times as they please.
