You may or may not remember Gary Myrick but he definitely left an imprint in the 1980s with “She Talks in Stereo” and “Time to Win,” which were both featured in the Nick Cage-starring Valley Girl. The Texas native got his start as the replacement for Stevie Ray Vaughan’s lead guitarist role in the Austin-based outfit, Kracker Jack. Like most of the MTV one, two and three-hit wonders of the 80s, Myrick disappeared into music trivia obscurity and has spent most of the past 20 years as a session and touring guitarist. But his 80s hits continue to spark nostalgia in many original fans. [AJ]
