For its fourth concert of the season, the Symphony welcomes back young Italian conductor Giampaolo Bisanti, who studied at the Giuseppe Verdi Consertatory of Music and made his debut in Milan at age 24 (wow, what was I doing at age 24!?), first in Salinas on Saturday, then Carmel Sunday and Monday. Heads up: They're performing Stravinsky's scorching, groundbreaking, dissonant masterpiece, Firebird Suite, 1919; but first they offer some delectable nuggets like Rossini's Overture to the Barber of Seville, Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings, Op. 48 and Respighi's Gli uccelli.
