The glam-garage-punk trio, Bare Wires, took its name from a 1968 John Mayall album. The Oakland-based outfit describes its music as "slop pop." Their latest release, Seeking Love, overflows with slap back echo on the vocals, hand claps, doubled guitars and a smooth punk sensibility packed with hooks. The late punk rocker, Jay Reatard, mastered its 2009 album, Artificial Clouds. [AJ]
