Have you ever thought about the bizarre ways individuals act within their environments? Jacques Heim thought so much about it that he founded Diavolo in 1992—extensive interdisciplinary performances that delve deep inside the way we act in our element. The company is made up of dancers, gymnasts and actors who create almost cinematic experiences on a stage surrounded by elaborate and sometimes surreal sets. The show is all about the absurdities of life and human nature. Things everyone can relate to in some way or another. [AJ]
