Wow. This is some heavy metal for the boho coffeeshop/performance space that normally sees poets and acoustic troubadors take roost. Razorhoof (does that not sound heavy?), who've just recorded a 12" vinyl split with San Jose band Boarhunter, will rattle latte mugs with their attack of angry guitars and guttural vocals, a prelude to a West Coast tour next month. "Vinyl is awesome," they say, and we agree. Metal on vinyl. Sounds S&M-ish. This gig is boosted by opening bands Corporate Cancer and the local young'uns of Gorphyryac (whom we call "Gorphy"). If you miss this how, by the way, they play Corbone's the next day. [WR]
