You gotta respect local and Bay Area music promoter dude Tobin Peregrina's dedication to cool live music. He effuses about a recent acquisition: "I'm happy to tell [you] we've just purchased a brand new 2000 watt Yamaha DSR series PA system...and loving it." Which brings total wattage at Carbone's to 3,000 watts. Good because it will be put to good use by metal monsters Razorhoof, Boar Hunter (the pair has recorded a split vinyl 12-inch), Pride Subject and White Dogs. [WR]
