Martin's Big Words Writing and Drawing Contest

Kids in kindergarten to 6th grade are encouraged to 1) read the award-winning book Martin's Big Words, 2) watch the movie, or 3) listen to a reading on the library's kids page. Then, turn that inspiration into their own verse in the form of poetry or essay or drawing on "what Martin's words mean to [me]." Entries are due by 7pm Jan. 26, at Monterey Public Library or Bookmobile, or emailed to vsdesk@ci.monterey.ca.us. Every entry wins a prize.
