The weather-worn facade of the original Ed "Doc" Ricketts Pacific Biological Laboratory sits humble and mostly closed on the vibrant Cannery Row. But on rare occasion the Cannery Row Foundation opens it up for tours, and the birthday celebration of the Row matron Kalisa Moore, who died in 2009 after a bountiful and colorful life, is just one of those occasions. The tours launch hourly 9am-5pm Saturday and reservations are recommended at tours@canneryrow.org.
