The famed raceway—home of the infamous “Corkscrew”—is well into preparations to accommodate the flood of MotoGP fans that descend on the track every year. With 233 Million viewers and fan counts rivaling the population of Burbank, this 3-day racing event is kind of a big deal. Jorge Lorenzo of the Yamaha Factory Team is among the points leaders and hopes to defend last year’s win at Laguna against Americans Nicky Hayden, Ben Spies and Colin Edwards, all of who are top ten in points. If there’s something more exciting going down this year in Monterey County its probably illegal.[JE]
