Big Sur International Short Film Screening Series at Henry Miller Library

From Spain to Serbia, from Kosovo to the UK, the films at the Big Sur International Short Film Screening Series bring a bevy of global perspectives to California's Central Coast. As dusk descends on the Henry Miller Library, live music and plentiful popcorn entertain filmgoers before their feature presentation. This week's lineup includes shorts from Poland, Germany, the UK and the U.S. of A, which depict everything from the Apocalypse to Cold War-era supercomputers.

Movies begin around dusk. Henry Miller Library, one-quarter mile south of Nepenthe, Big Sur. Free; donations encouraged. 667-2574, www.henrymiller.org.
