The Marina Library is screening "Dirt!" - the three-time award winning documentary about one of our most precious natural resources. Everything essentially comes from dirt and this in-depth look at it shows just how integral it is to our lives. Unfortunately, its mismanagement by industrial society has lead to increased environmental degradation, greenhouse gas emissions, erosion, drought, and even been responsible for civil conflicts and war. The good news is, there's lots we can do to fix it, and this film explores how.
