Summerfest! at REI

Summer ideas will be vast at the event at REI. Information for families will be about camping gear, recommended hikes and bike rides, and eco-educational story time with Chipper the Squirrel. The first 20 kids--ages 2-8-- to arrive will receive an activity set, courtesy of REI. All attendees will be able to learn about outdoor stewardship opportunities from the Marina Community Garden Project, Return of the Natives Restoration Project, and Save Our Shores. "The Bike Blender Guy", Jim Fowler, blends smoothies on his bike-powered blender. Live music and the chance to win sweepstakes prizes are also on tap.
