With a goal of "keeping the Blues alive," the J.C. Smith Band sure delivers. A background of drums, bass, saxophone, keyboards and trumpet weave with J.C.'s soulful voice. The band's current release "Defining Cool," gained an international attention and made its way onto the 52nd Grammy Awards for "Best Contemporary Blues CD." It then entered the Living Blues Radio Charts at #16 and went on to be a "Pick to Click" on XM Radio. "Alive" is right.
