RISE is a cinematic feature celebrating American figure skating, while commemorating the fiftieth anniversary and legacy of the 1961 U.S. World Figure Skating Team that lost their lives in a plane crash on its way to the World Championships in Czechoslovakia. The original showing hosted by Matt Lauer, co-anchor of the NBC News "TODAY Show" was broadcast live from the Best Buy Theater in Times Square. 525 theaters across 50 states experienced the sell-out event. If an event is getting an encore, it's nothing short of worthiness.
