Many promising local musicians move to the Bay Area and get swallowed up in the city's far larger music scene. Pacific Grove native Sean Smith is not one of those guys. A big presence in the Bay Area, Smith has recorded with San Francisco's acclaimed producer Tim Green, played with the nationally known band Citay and done solo shows and performances with his trio The Present at hip haunts including The Hemlock Tavern and the Elbo Room. Tonight, he returns to where it all began for the last installment of the Acoustic/Electric Series at East Village before it moves over to Carbone's in April. [ST]
