This feature film was shot at its namesake city by a local director, from a script by a local writer, with Alfred Molina, Lauren Bacal, Hayden Panettiere, Dina Eastwood and Josh Hutchersonl in the leads (and many locals as extras). It tells the story of a troubled teenager who encounters different factions of Carmel's art community in his search for home and meaning. It was shot a couple of years ago and went through some legal and logistical wrangling, but here it is, in all its local glory, in this preview screening that starts with a VIP wine reception and silent auction, is accompanied by the filmmakers, and is followed by an art raffle.
