The Carmel Public Library Foundation presents the Annual Arts & Literary Series 2010-11 author presentation and book signing, featuring Abbas Milani, Director of Iranian Studies at Stanford University. His book, “The Shah”, (meaning King of Kings) examines the life of Mohammad-Reza Shah Pahlevi, the last Shah of Iran, and how he shaped Iran's modernity and Middle Eastern politics. Milani is the co-director of the Iran Democracy Project at Stanford's Hoover Institution. His expertise is U.S./Iran relations, Iranian cultural, political, and security issues. [CK]
