Hollywood ‘60s Party at MMA-La Mirada

It’s true: Monterey and Hollywood fused at La Mirada in the ‘60s. Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton stayed at the spot in 1965 while filming Sandpiper in 1965. Local music treasure, Nico Georis—whose father composed the music for the ultimate surf movie, Endless Summer—will provide the night’s soundtrack on piano with upright bass accompaniment from Rick Chelew, of the Cachagua Playboys and Andrea’s Fault. Both of the aforementioned films will play throughout the evening. 1960s cocktail attire is highly recommended. [AJ]
