Ain't Misbehavin' at Sunset Center

Brought to our shores from New York by Artbeat, Inc., this winner of four Tony's, including Best Musical, is a joyous romp and stomp through the heyday of Harlem's Renaissance on the bouncy rhythms and juke-jumpin' melodies of famed stride pianist, composer and music celeb Fats Waller. The five performers, decked out in period costumes of spats, bowlers, ermine and pearls, include Vivian Jett from the original Broadway production and Tony-nominated (for The Tap Dance Kid) Martine Allard. They'll rock the house with 30 of Waller's oeuvre including "Honeysuckle Rose," "Mean to Me" and "Black and Blue," segueing from the Cotton Club to honky tonks to the Waldorf. [WR]
8pm. Sunset Center, San Carlos between Eighth and Ninth, Carmel. $38-$58. artbeatshows@juno.com, 425-444-5052.
