Barry Masteller at Monterey Museum of Art-La Mirada

In his lecture, "Musings, Images and Reflections," artist Barry Masteller walks viewers through the hidden dimensions of subconscious imagery in his paintings.
He describes his landscapes as "dream-like aspects of the deeper mind and subconscious." Since moving to Pacific Grove in 1970, when Masteller feels his work came together, his art has been shown in Calif., N.Y., Chicago, and last year in Kathmandu, Nepal.

10:30am. Wed. Monetery Museum of Art-La Mirada, 720 Via Mirada, Monterey. 372-5477. www.montereyart.org.
