Time changes things. Not the passion for art and creating arts. The Upper Lobby Gallery at The Monterey Airport presents a collective of all things "found art." Comprised of works from artists formerly featured at the Aimes gallery in Berkley, Northern CA artist Jim Bauer, and local artists Ed Leeper and Ray Magsalay, this exhibit is history on display. From lamp stands made of drift wood and tossed out dolls, and quilts made of old discarded clothes, to carved cigar boxes and crumpled up paper apparatus, all things past their glory are revived into beautiful pieces of re-interpretation. Gathered and found objects from the turn of the century to the present congregate to manifest the creative visions and past observations of the artist collective. (See Art story.) [ZK]
Open 24/7 . Upper Lobby at The Monterey Airport, 200 Fred Kane Drive #200 Monterey. Free. 624-7910.
