Presented by numerous Garden Clubs in Northern California, including Carmel-by-the-Sea Garden Club, is VISIONS 2011: California on the Cutting Edge. The 2-day flower show will feature special lectures from flower specialists, and a nationally judged competition in flower arrangement, horticulture, photography and conservation, and educational exhibits. Friday's speaker Charlotte Moss presents "Flowers, Fauteuils and Follies: The Garden as a Perennial Source of Inspiration for Decoration", featuring a wine reception and book signing. Saturday's speakers include photographer Rick Darke with "Landscapes through the Lens" and French floral designer Marie-Francoise Deprez with "Fleurs en Mouvement par Marie". Attend all three events for a price of $100.
