The high-energy, free-lovin', folksy-country band with the funny name take Fernwood by storm in an upcoming performance. The 'Evangenitals' eclecticism is led by lead singer Juli Crockett, an Alabama native and former theater director, playwright and professional boxer. The band has been taking the US by storm, getting recognition from major publications LA Weekly and Music Connection Magazine, and recently tearing it up at fringe SXSW gig "Invasion of the GoGirls". Their twangy bass and upbeat lyrics will draw listeners to the dance floor, keeping spirits high with their thoughtful yet playful melodies. [KD]
