Under instruction from world-renowned conductor and vocalist Sean Boulware, the Monterey Peninsula Choral Society kicks off their Spring Concert at Golden State Theatre. The theme of the evening, 'Vocal Mosaic: Sing the Rhythm of the Earth', includes songs from countries around the world, in 8 different languages, from Ireland, Africa, Italy, Hungary and India. Over a hundred local voices will perform songs ranging from "The Voice", "Earth Song", and Celtic Women's "O America! and "The Blessing" to Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire favorite "Jai Ho" and TOTO song "Africa". MPCS is excited to kick off the performance season that will culminate with their 50th anniversary in 2012 along with a concert for the Summer Olympics in London, England. [KD]
