After seven years of renovations and three quarters of a billion dollars, the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow is finally ready for its Grand Re-Opening.
The live broadcast includes special performances by Placido Domingo, Violeta Urmana, and Svetlana Zakharova, along with the Bolshoi Corps de Ballet performing in the inaugural performance at the Grand Re-Opening of the Bolshoi Theatre. Selections from The Sleeping Beauty, Ivan Susanin, Spartacus (ballet), Betrothal in a Monastery, and The Flames of Paris, are feature in the 105 minute performance. [JZ]
