If you’ve ever had a hankering to sail the seas on a swashbuckling adventure aboard a wind-powered wooden galleon, the time has come. Grays Harbor Historical Seaport Authority is returning to Monterey Bay with their period tall ship, Lady Washington. The ship was used in the first Pirates of the Caribbean film as well as Star Trek: Generations. A replica of an American Revolutionary privateer vessel, the Lady Washington will be open to the public to tour and sail as her band of crew teach sea shanty tunes and the workings of the ships rigging all while decked out in period dress. Heave ho, ye hearties! [JE]
